A Participatory Approach to Tackling Threats to Biodiversity

Bunche Hall, Rm 10383

Evidence-informed solutions are urgently needed to tackle the climate and biodiversity crises – the 21st-century’s most significant challenges. Multiple stressors threaten Amazonia's socio-ecological importance, highlighting the need for coordinated efforts to mitigate these threats. Effective engagement with policy, decision-makers, non-governmental organizations and local communities can improve research development and conservation planning success. This presentation analyzes stakeholder-based solutions to the main threats to Amazonian biodiversity.
